- June 30, 2026 Virtual All-Region Sustainability Leadership Forum – Topic – Critical Minerals – The Hidden Constraint on the Energy Transition.
- Description
The transition to a low-carbon economy depends on far more than renewable energy and electric vehicles—it depends on access to critical minerals such as lithium, copper, nickel, cobalt, graphite, and rare earth elements. As demand accelerates, corporations are facing growing challenges related to supply chain security, geopolitical competition, resource nationalism, permitting delays, and environmental and social impacts. This session will explore how the global race for critical minerals is reshaping sustainability strategy, procurement, risk management, and long-term business planning. Participants will gain practical insights into the emerging opportunities and vulnerabilities that could influence everything from climate goals and product innovation to operational resilience and competitive advantage.
